Adaptability on Productivity Expectations

A remote work setting might be new to you. This means you have to be very adaptable to continue meeting your productivity expectations in your job role. At first, it will be very frustrating for both supervisors, team members, and everyone directly or indirectly involved in your work. However, with the correct approach, you can have a smooth transition from the traditional office setting to the new remote work setting.

First, you need to have a positive attitude towards the whole process. Be prepared to receive all kinds of feedback hence it's important to be open to constructive dialogue both from most of your colleagues. If it's a new step in your company, then you won't be alone, everyone will be in the same boat trying to figure the most optimal approach when working remotely. If you are the only one, then you can consult with your supervisor on the most productive and easy approach which is used by most people working remotely in your organization.

It’s important to also show empathy and kindness to colleagues who are having a tough time adapting to the new remote work routine. Try to understand the different needs of your colleagues when fulfilling your job responsibilities.
